Carrefour Opens 'Gourmet Market' In Radom, Poland

Carrefour has continued its expansion of its 'Gourmet' format beyond the Warsaw region in Poland, the retailer announced on Monday.

The newest supermarket opened at the end of November in Radom, a city located in the east-central region. Located in the Galeria Słoneczna shopping arcade, it possesses 1300 square metres of sales space with more than 15,000 references, employing 40 people.

It boasts a wide array of products, including items smoked in-store, 200 fruit and vegetable products, and local references.

The store also has a 'healthy eating' area where organic, diabetic, free-from, soya, and low-fat products are available. It also offers cosmetics, clothing and seasonal products.

Carrefour Poland has 800 stores and 20 shopping centres in Poland.
